Packaging targets largely unchanged for 2024

The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007 have been amended to include recycling targets for the 2024 compliance year. The targets in the table below will come into force in January 2024.

These targets apply to outgoing Packaging Regulations and determine the tonnage of PRNs that producers will have to purchase or obtain in 2024. The 2024 targets are unchanged with the exceptions of the wood recycling target, which has been increased to 42% and the overall recycling to 80%.
